long walk home

Walking a trail not knowing, not knowing where you are.
What the hey, where do I stay, am I good or not.
The trail, the trail, oh the long trail.
Tired, thirsty, I need the trail.
I have no clue where to go, not a soul will tell.
I try to stop cars, but at night they are alarmed.
At night they think I am a thug.
But no, I will not give up easly, I will not stop going.
The moon is full, my mind is empty.
The street numbers look the same where ever I go.
Oh no, what do I do, I need the right trail.
What tail do I seek, what life do I compare.
My mind keeps on turning, but I am not aware.
I ask some one on their patio, oh the hope I do seek.
They give me the right direction, they give me the correct beat.
But I forget, and yet, my mind goes blank in a sec.
My life feels drained, and you bet.
I find the trail, the trail home, the trail that I seek.
The right path I follow, and now I'm home.
Thanks to the three kind ladies who help me find the trail.
R.M.
