The Lonlyness of an Empty Bed

The Lonlyness of an Empty Bed

The cold night of sight, forever wanting to be unseen

I lay to the right then the left, ever so uncomforting

As i shift to one side I stare into the darkness

My eyes are heavy, my heart sunk, my mind wishing many lost wishes

Once a beautiful face stared back at me all through the night

Eyes of an Angel, eyes that make all the pain and suffering of the world......disappear

I took advantage of the night, I had those eyes

If only i held longer and tighter I could feel at peace

Tears run down my face as I wish I did more, as every man does, he makes a mistake

My hand lay on the pillow next to me, cold and lifeless

I take a deep breath and sigh, for only one night could repeat

If a night of my choosing would repeat, would I be truly happy

For why I am alone was not in my power, it was the power of life

For now and forever I shall lay in this bed alone

Until my sun shows, I am stuck, no matter how bad I wish

Every second you get with your significant other, hold them tighter, closer, longer. Because on day you wont be able to, no matter what you do.
