Look at Me!

When you look at me, I know what you see.
You see a polite smile, a kind-hearted place.
Someone who will always do the right thing, 
No matter the place.
Someone who will take it, someone who will bow.
You look down as I glare up
You see my weakness that I carry on the outside, and try to hide.
"She can't do it, look at her."
"She isn't good enough, and never were."
I let you see everything I do not wish to be
When you look at me you have no idea what you see
You see what I allow you to see, you don't really know me
I am capable of more than you know.
You see a challenging smile and a heart full of passion,
Someone who will put up a fight
Any time, and any place
Someone who will fake it until she make it
Someone who will rise.
I look high as I rise up
You see my body armor
I carry it with pride
"She can move mountains, look at her!"
"She is stronger than I ever realized, she is invincible."
I will not back down
And my faith will never faulter
For the Lord my God is my father
And there is no force that which is stronger.
So, look at me.
And do not look away.
