Look at Yourself

I've been looking for friends in all the wrong places
and getting mixed up with all the wrong faces
and nobody knows the things that I've seen
cause it's so hard to be me
I've been getting so high and waking up wasted
and nobody knows my mental places
nobody knows about my family business
that's because nobody cares about anyone not even themselves
they just complain and wine so much it overwhelms
they probably wonder why nobody notices them after all they've done
but if they would have spent all that time on themselves then look at what they would have begun
they could have been satisfied with themselves and helped others to expand
multiplying the amount of talent and authenticity in the world, creating a peaceful dreamland
a world that's not built on a desperate need to survive
but a world where people can just be comfortable and be grateful for being alive
your life is your own so why spend it on others
look at yourself and thank your mother
