Look Through My Eyes

Look Through My Eyes
Pain, suffering and death are a part
of this man-made hell,
but only looking through my eyes
can you see this true story I tell.
Many have come this way trying to overcome
their time of destruction,
knowing that the drug game
and free world they once knew is under new construction.
9 1/2 years of my life has been spent
asking God to bring me out once again,
because behind these walls there's no family,
and your cell-mate is your closest friend.
I wish you could see through my eyes
all the pain I've caused those that love me dear,
or the tears that filled my mother's eyes
when they sentenced me to 28 years.
So to you, my friend I say,
please cut off all your bad ties,
before you end up living this reality I see,
when you look through my eyes! 2007
