Looking Up
Oh God, consider my ebullition
The moans of an anguished spirit
Drowning in tears of ignominy
Fumbling through this ordure.
Oh God, receive my entreaty
Grant me serenity once more
Redeem a squalid soul
Replenish prosperity
Oh God, evaluate my supplication
A humble plea for compassion
Love unconditional, unfathomable
Mercy undeserved, but most required
