Looking back 🥲

Looking back 🥲

She sits in that parlour just sat staring at the sun

Dreaming about her bygone days when she used to have such good fun

But those days are long gone ever since her senility had begun

So reminisces of reveries is all she is left with when all is said and done…

Back to the times when she was sweet sixteen

Amidst her schooldays romances she was so naive and green

With a body like a model looking like a beauty queen

She was an up-to-date fashion icon and a popular teen..

Yet she still remembers those yesteryears

Though that wrinkled expression cannot hold back her tears

As she huddles up underneath her blanket along with the other old dears

Watching through the window until the daylight disappears …

Jill another great write that says it all, all of who we once were are and all of what we'll be.
Memories are people's rocks to cling to and never let go of when time marches on.
Touching and poignant and a poem for all.💕
