Slow down child
don’t wish
your life away
like that ..
We know its late
but the cogs
and the wheels
are still turning ..

I dare not look
back to see
what the future
might hold
by consulting
the leaves in my
new china
teacup darling ..
Each swirling
earl grey
murmeration
that I previously
found there ..
Now fills me
to the very brim
with much
love and indeed,
joyful anticipation ..
