Looking To The Skies

The signal never interrupted, doesn't fade

This means that contact has been made

The astronomers shocked by its ferocity

Don't comprehend its significance to humanity  !

This is the evidence they've been searching for

That another intelligent life exists for sure

What it means for all, at this stage, is unclear

But some do well in covering growing fear

Now Man truly knows it is not alone in space

Will an alien species arrive to enslave our race ?

The possibility is now there for all to realize

It may have been better not looking to the skies.
