Lost

Lost

As the sun rises, glistening off the ivory snow

I lay within the side of the mountain, alone

Left to my own devices, away from everything but my thoughts

Hours melt away like snow, dripping away from me, leaving me with nothing

Nothing but a shallow pool of reflection

Consumed by light, blinded by hope

Blinded by my unwillingness to accept my fate

That I will be trapped forever

Cold

Alone

Lost

As the sun sets, my soul is permeated by its auburn hues

Briefly touching its innermost recesses, illuminating the darkness

Momentarily reigniting the coals of a burnt-out fire, only bringing pain

A pain which was always there and will never leave

Eating away at me, slowly devouring what little is left of my feeble form

As the moon rises, I am lost

Lost in a labyrinth, spawned from the depths of my mind

I lay in the side of the mountain, alone and in darkness

Left to my own devices, drifting from realm of sanity

The only thing I have left is time, slowly dripping away from me

I am left with nothing

I have nothing

I am nothing
