Lost

Lost

Lost

Last smile you ever made,

Such a perfect gift,

A brother lost into the night,

Forever cut adrift.

You never felt alone,

Or showed them any fear,

The sentence carried out,

Brutal and severe.

What is done is done,

That’s a fact of life.

Forever they will know,

Even in the afterlife.

The wounds wont ever heal,

A pain caused by each lie.

Questions still unanswered,

The never knowing why.

I will live in hope,

That justice will be served.

To let you rest in peace,

Nothing less than you deserved.

Hi SoulWhispers, it was written with a heavy heart and my words reflected my emotions perfectly. I think "Achingly beautiful ink" is the best three words together I have ever seen. I am humbled by your comments.Β
