The Last Summer

The Last Summer

lost years will soon pass
will you remember boy
will you?

might you remember the feel
of his arms
of his all

the inevitable selfie
by the low garden wall

will you think on the scent of the
grass in the air
how for moments in time
you and he were just...there...

will you remember boy...
will you?
might your young heart recall
the feel of that day
that last summer of all

Some words simply have to be pulled or otherwise forced out .. and come screaming from the pen ..
Such words really dont want to be anywhere ..
However, it is easy to feel these words of yours, writely rest easy on their very own page ..
Yet they most surely have both caused & cause such an ache in their giving and reading ........... x

Being Me

Firstly, I will just say that I LOVE your painting. It is full of love! It really is. As soon as I saw it I felt an overwhelming feeling of love.

The poem is another one of your little gems! It's a poem of questioning but the answer is "love"  xx

Wow ..did you? You felt the love? You really have no idea how happy that makes me. Years ago I used to love doing portraits...proper ones...but these days I have a need of colour and trying to capture essence instead. This is an actual photo and not a bad likeness if I say so myself lol...but I'm still pondering Ben's lips lol. Luckily Judd was a child of the mobile boom...zillions of bloody selfies to choose from 🤩 Thanks so much Tina ❤

Being Me

Really and truly! Definitely. The feeling was so strong that it actually knocked me a bit! In his eyes I see a protector that hides his vulnerability —  as in there is so much more to his character than meets the eye. And she is just totally made up from the love she has for him — and the love he has for her is undeniably there. The feeling of love I get from this picture is very powerful — it really, really is xx
