Lost in a bubble

Please talk to me often
I can still hear what you are saying
I listen when you look up to the skies in desperation praying
I’d love to hear your sweet voice
You are my mocking bird
Please will you sing to me 
So I can relish every word

Please can you bring the kids along
though they think Grandma’s not all there
Believe me though i’m silent
I love you & I still care
I sit in solitude within the walls of this care home
I appreciate all your visits, so please don’t you ever come

Please will you tell me 
everything 
Don’t lock anything away
I envisage these things in my head 
so its important in a way
I need to keep my mind occupied
As much as it still can
Although nothing stays in my
Memory
I can only think short span

I know it isn’t easy for you 
Seeing me lost in my bubble
& I am sorry if I  seem so blue
I don’t want to be any trouble
Just think of me from bygone years
The lovely things we used to do
As I can only think inwardly
Alas I can’t communicate with you

I am still your loving Mother
& thats the way it will always be
Even when I end my days on Earth
The good Lord has chosen me
I look forward to seeing you again
My love, my little ones
Always know tho I can’t tell you
