LOST IT

I've lost it and can't find it anywhere 
I put it down and now it's not there
I'm sure I put it in a safe place 
All that's left now is an empty space 

Where is it oh where can it be 
I'm starting to panic as you can see 
Am I getting forgetful and starting to forget 
It's down to my old age I'm willing to bet

When it's found I will bolt it to the floor 
Put up a massive sign on the front door 
For when something is missing it causes me stress
Thank goodness the item was lost at a different address
