Lost Memories

Ripped from the solid core
Of everything he knows
The boy with no hope no place
No emotion not a trace
Only memories to chase
Only enemies to face
And the memories he finds
Seem like dreams lost in time
So he loses himself inside his mind
The future comes fast
As he searches for his past
As he looks to the sky
The blowing trees show his memories
Rushing by on the breeze
To swift to cease
To quick to ease
Everyone is against him
Barriers start to fence him
His life is a dream
And it seems he's not waking up
He is all alone on this road he has taken up
This problem is his own
Lost memories
Alone as he walks
So he isolates himself in the dark

I like this one, thanks xx much love Nardine xx
No thank you I greatly appreciate it :)
I have little no memories before the age of twelve, so this poem really gets me...sometimes I am somewhere and even something like a "blowing tree" can bring something back. Pretty crazy...interesting words.
A bad but educating childhood and a lot of pain caused my memories to fade at some point as a child and the shell from which that emptyness existed birthed this poem, I'm glad someone commented on it because this is old and is a good reminder of how far I've come

...That's awesome...it takes time and a level mind to see the benefits of pain. I'm a children's counselor and without my past experiences, I'd have little to share with the youth. My horror is their comfort...and so it goes...Good stuff : )Â
