Six years in the folk clubs trying to find his way
Time to leave England for a new start in the USA

In America this man found success with a band 
The Clancy Brothers and him sounded sweet and grand
In the mid seventies he left and moved on once more
A solo singer again was still in demand for sure 

Married three times this man and almost seventy 
He returned back to the North East opportunities a plenty
For one final twist for this folk singing geezer 
Louis Killen in his last few years became Louisa

What a brave and tormented soul was he 
His music will be his ultimate legacy
