Love

I love your lips when they’re wet with wineÂ
And red with a wild desire;Â
I love your eyes when the lovelight liesÂ
Lit with a passionate fire.Â
I love your arms when the warm white fleshÂ
Touches mine in a fond embrace;Â
I love your hair when the strands enmeshÂ
Your kisses against my face.Â
Not for me the cold, calm kissÂ
Of a virgin’s bloodless love;Â
Not for me the saint’s white bliss,Â
Nor the heart of a spotless dove.Â
But give me the love that so freely givesÂ
And laughs at the whole world’s blame,Â
With your body so young and warm in my arms,Â
It sets my poor heart aflame.Â
So kiss me sweet with your warm wet mouth,Â
Still fragrant with ruby wine,Â
And say with a fervor born of the SouthÂ
That your body and soul are mine.Â
Clasp me close in your warm young arms,Â
While the pale stars shine above,Â
And we’ll live our whole young lives awayÂ
In the joys of a living love.Â

I just cracked a smile at the oddest time possible. Now, I look like a goofball.
This absolutely floored me for you write with such passion it makes the reader (well definitely me) feel as if I was watching a movie. Great job. Don't know if you've ever heard of Jim Morrison lead singer of the doors (also a well re known poetry)) who died tragically young at 28 but your poem reminded me of him.Â
