LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

The French call it "coup de foudre."
It's like a lightning bolt to the heart.
Has it ever happened to me?
Well in all honesty where do I start?

I am a poet, it's in our DNA to see love
to write about love, to glorify love 
but what we write can be subtly different sometimes. 
The love which is mutual, reciprocated, that is what I speak of.

So love at first sight might come from the hair, lips or eyes
but for me, the poet, it can also stem from words.
And it is possible to see love in how they are used and written.
Words I feel I have been waiting my whole life for are suddenly seen and heard.

So if we are talking about connections, threads
that have been foretold, that are ingrained
then yes I believe wholeheartedly in those.
So love at first sight can also be a love that has been preordained.
