love bites

love bites

" you will never be hurt by her bite "
they say
it taunts me night and day,
the things that they say.
My first life love
lost at last
I kissed her lips,
and we made time pass,
it was long and sweet,
and her temper sour.
I stayed with her many times
devoted my life,
and my time she gave away
to another,
almost every day.
it haunts me now as it did then,
that my first girlfriend,
was my very best friend.
