Love Bombs
Undivided attention
Continuous compliments
Constant affection
Holding hands
Making plans
Flowers and cards
Reassurance
It's ok let down your guard
Placed on a pedestal
Magical
Intimate desires
Souls and hearts catching fire
Lust
Apprehensive fears turned to dust
Suddenly everything stops
Like frozen hands on an old run down clock
Invisible
Hate fueled words
Cold hearted rejection
Hands left bruised and bleeding afterwards
Cancelled plans
Dead flowers and ripped up cards
She let down her guard
Knocked off the pedestal
Unimaginable
Intimacy dead
Souls and hearts turned to ice instead
Disgust
Fears become real losing trust

WOW!! BRANDIE!!....This is WAY intense....and if this is not a fiction....then I would like to say I am so sorry to hear/read of it!!......Because it's not hard to see how this poem could be born out of the pain and anger of a failed relationship.......It is VERY well penned and has a powerful impact especially in its closing lines!! ~

The melancholy of the tone of this catapults it into the PINNED category.....in my humble opinion dear poet sister!!.....A VERY well ,delivered piece of poetic prose that has an underlying rhyme scheme that ca n be heard more readily when it's read aloud!!......I just hope this is a fiction!!.......LOVE & ROCKETS!! .......T xo : (
