When I Love, how can it be claimed
How it is I adore
Can it not be grace to set a love free
To ask of God for nothing more
Than to witness that Love
Bloom into that beauty
That within her I've seen...
Thus All men may witness
That compassion skirts to throw
Else should my grace, cease to be grace
And so, into the self same woe
Where on the rest, shall not think best
No heart so bold, or perhaps grown cold
To allow such a Love it's growth.......
Love find's a way for grace
Whether through horrible despair
With weeping eyes in seeing her face
Kindreds wail, but the light does prevail
Or when I am alone, how is it I adore
The excellence of her presence
'Tis simple
It's the God I feel, in seeing her happiness......

'it's the God I feel, in seeing her happiness'......well played my friend, I'm so applauding that beautiful line; even in my half drunk state I can recognize the power of that one line, love or what ever drives a poet of your calibre to write these words can be mind bending to me; when I am a reader I see so many things hidden behind metaphors, the reader can be never completely sure of the meaning of all things said; and thus the old saying comes into effect; 'art is not what you see but what you can make others see'....Tony you certainly write with honesty compassion and sincerity, superb poem....keep doing your thing my friend, I for one is always appreciative for your beautiful words, you are my 'go to poet' when I need a 'fix' thank you....have a good night....looks like the Cubs might pull this one out dude; fingers crossed...
