The Love God Brought Together

It started off as strangers meet, 
She was scared of what was coming, 
Insecure & scared of life, 
She gently started humming. 

The days went by, 
And time was fast, 
She though it couldn't be, 
Sure enough she was right this moment didn't last. 

It was so good & cheery, 
The excitement in her eyes, 
What was now just a memory, 
She realized how fast time flies. 

Their timing wasn't perfect, 
He wasn't Mr. Right, 
Everything was good & well, 
And then came on the fight. 

They began to distance, 
Two people so well known, 
Everything just dissapeared, 
They were both alone. 

Speaking slowly as months passed, 
Apologies started to spring, 
They were becoming friends again, 
But it wasn't a sure thing. 

Second chances sounded good, 
How they ended it with such fire, 
It couldn't work in any way, 
When she has lost desire. 

As if they met all over, 
Two strangers once again, 
Even though things were good, 
They couldn't still be friends. 

Things could never be the same, 
This guy was once a liar, 
She met someone at a different time, 
To her he was higher. 

This guy was like a dream, 
She loved the way he looked, 
Whether he was good or bad, 
He has got her hooked. 

The time they spend together, 
Every moments blessed, 
Which only made her realize, 
He's better than was the rest. 

He'll do anything for this girl, 
Together they are great, 
Who knows what brought them together, 
Maybe it was fate. 

As the days go by, 
She loves him even more, 
All the happiness in her eyes, 
Every time he walks through the door. 

He takes her out to eat one day, 
With a smile & tears in her eyes, 
Proposing she'd be his for life, 
Her jaw drops & then she cries. 

She used to pray to God, 
Hoping something good would come, 
Just her luck for she believed, 
Now she's found the one.
