Love does not arrive like the rain
As the parched desert awaits the yearly floods
And unseen life erupts from her seemingly barren interior
Clothing the plains with purple
And the heady scent of desert orchids

My heart burst into bloom
And I made space in there for You
Love is a rare gift
Worth more than Gold
It is strong, powerful, sensuous and all consuming

To reject Love is like the desert rejecting the rain
There will be no blooming of orchids

So be mindful, be aware
And should someone deign to bestow Love upon You
Water it and tend it well
And you will see it bloom
For there is no greater gift in Life.
