LOVE LINK

Ricardo Antonio Garcia

I see no way out

of a requited love matrix

that once left

me without eyes.

Blinded

by the belief of what love is

it wielded a razor knife

and into my head

it took away my site.

Through an alternate door

the parish of love

waded deep in my soul

in the stench of lies

holding fast

to the hope I would survive.

I saw the way out

when it reached for me

and lifted me

knowing how scarred I was.

She was the Sun

a beauteous light from above

that rained upon me

and gave me new birth.

Without her

I would of surely drowned

and remain unknown.

Angelic eyes she implanted

in the head of her head

and to my shoulders

she replaced the man I was.

Ripples of pain

subtly pass like a mild wind.

Love builds it own creations

whether linked or unlinked or alone.

Hi.

Enjoyed the read. I love the way you speak about blind love and how we see without eyes when we caught up in its spell. And when it's lost we feel blind looking to find our sight again. Thank you for sharing.
