Having appreciated all there is and its splendour,
Fighting so valiantly with every ounce of strength,
He can not submit to the pain in blissful surrender.
He shall battle to remain in each priceless breath !

Not accepting the inevitable as others chose to do,
Spirit and love of the world sustains will to endure !
He can not give up what takes a lifetime to accrue !
Glorious memories are constant to stoically savour.

The skeletal frame masks a cast iron determination.
No savage illness shall deprive him of what is prized !
His carers bear witness to a feat beyond imagination,
His resistance to be remembered long after he's died !
