Love She Does
She loves me
She loves me not
Red petals pass across our feet
Sitting in the dead brown grass
Gazing across the baseball field
While the Sun sets
Orange and yellow specks of light
Seep into her pale face
Warm silhouettes bruise our skin black
The falling sunlight colors her hair red
As rose petals lay soft within
I turn and stare into her eyes
As we embrace the night
Her eyes pop green shinning in the street lights
I silently pick whispers from her thoughts
Her face then blushes
And a crease marks her face, creating a beautiful smile
Her lips are perfect
A luscious rose gold crafted by Godβs angels
While their wings blow icy air against our backs
She squeezes me tighter every time the wind howls
And I squeeze her back
Hoping to hold on to this memory forever
My main concern that Iβll forget her
Like a rose in a snowstorm
She might be a dying silent thought
Which dwells deep in the back of my mind
Where whispers are never heard
And birds never chirp
And sunshine's are just thunderstorms
And big dreams are just lost desires
But for right now Iβll stay in the moment
Dripping drops of tears on each petal
Holding on to my rose saying
She loves me
She loves me not.
