Love & The Universe
When peeling the skin from reality
We find
Man must devise a method
To circumvent retaliation, Greed,
And vengeance
Now, I am no Martin Luther King
But I believe most agree
With his premise's foundations...
So I humbly submit,
There are those in this reality
That kill
For a myriad of motivations
But when we come together
And truly begin
To explore the vastness
Of our Universe
We find
That potentially
There will no longer be
A need
For war
Upon this our stunningly beautiful
Planet...
For,
We will be colonizing
And (generally) usurping
Resources
From other worlds
To bring these resources
Home
To heal our own
And finally
Begin
To heed Martin's words
LOVE
Is the foundation
The platform
For ending war
While learning the truth
About this
'Enormously vast'
Universe,
And the most glaringly obvious
Choice,
For us to finally
Comprehend,
Our 'truest' place
Upon this, our ever-changing,
And severely damaged,
Mother Earth...

I like this work Tony because I think you have foretold what will happen in the future. Not the love...the pillaging. Given our natures and that we have already destroyed the planet with our greed we will extend those principles as far as we can and meddle and destroy other planets too. Ultimately, we will realise we are not gods...just animals whose brains grew bigger than our hearts. We have already deposited so much debris in space...lol...we will be sending all our rubbish up there soon...Sorry I am rambling lol...back to your work...brilliant and thought provoking ?
Hey Marion, I understand you POV.....but I don't think the other alien civilizations will tolerate our taking our hubris into deep space with us.....I believe they are already having conversations with our leaders about the limitations that MUST be observed to be allowed into deep space.....Yes, there ARE already alien beings here helping us to understand.......smiles........T xo : )

At times I find it so hard to compute that we 'still' go to war. Its just madness that this primitive way of 'dealing' with things still actually occurs!!
But yes, something will be the catalyst for change, we are bound to go too far.

Something will be the catalyst for change but it won’t be Homo Sapiens but Techno Sapiens that will pull it off. Still to much animal/hormones in us.

Certainly know your good wishes as everyone. But we're actually in the invisible WWIII already, it's more deadly compared to WWII. The sad fact is war perhaps is the final solution in some cases when peace has no chance.

Hello my friend and I hope this finds you well and safe. I loved reading your piece because you know my thought on our Universe, it's inhabitants and the onus placed on us as keepers of our own planet.Man thus far has pretty much failed to preserve the wonder that we have been entrusted with and I think maybe we will find technology will take over where we ended...Martin Luther King spoke in simple terms about the most complex of problems but his resolution was simple also..but far too hard for us humans to understand the value of..there is such a sadness in my heart for how we have allowed this to happen ..but hope also that maybe , just maybe we can turn the tide? max stars my friend as always for a thoughtful and considered piece.
