Love Whispers

Mansion towers regal over the street,
Ghostly soul drifts round muttering madly,
Dust fills up the air under heavy feet,
At the beauty on the wall, he looks sadly,
He closes his eyes, howls in despair,
He cries, the day they married, the night she died,
Creaking door opens, yet he does not stir,
Cold gun to his head, remembers she lied,
Far away in time she chooses the same,
She doesn’t want him, cannot face these years,
Party rages beneath, guests toast her name,
Her lost love whispers, there’s no need for fears,
Two suicides that will haunt the same place,
One was to escape, the other to chase.
