love Your Skin

Poem
LOVe YOUr SKIn
mama ,this black skin
In this world
I am a victim
I'm so lost in their system
did no wrong and got a conviction
mama this black skin
is uncomfortable
that I'm standing in
white police men
with guns in hand
saying I fit the description
of treyvon
and mama
I am unarmed!!!
mama, this black skin
signifies that I'm African
my ancestors
went through the trafficking
enslaved and robbed
of everything
mama, this black skin
forever been traumatized
by the things happening
before our eyes
yet no one seem
To hear our cries
Or even stop to realize
Mama ,this black skin
Love to enjoy life
And the simple things
But have to work so hard
For the simple things
Humility the characteristic
Of kings
Mama,this black skin
Was the first of all skin
Which bringeth
Forth all the other skins
The mother of all skins
Mama,this black skin
Was built to stand through
Everything
I would never trade this skin for anything
This black skin mama is genuine...

Good poem this poem reminds me of apartheid . we are sometimes judged by the color of our skin but our blood are the same color and we are all humans created by God . In Gods eye we are equal and one. He shows no favourism and his love is unconditional.
