Lovebirds by the lake
Down by the lake, lovebirds did not forsake.
This was not fake, the love they did make.
Sweet kisses on the lips, better than honey sips.
A desirable and flavourable dip, better than crispy chips.
Eyes beaming with love, without the sight of reprove.
Staring like a gentle dove, underneath a grove.
Heart pounces excitedly, each beat feels lovely.
Racing so beautifully, each throb sounds magical.
Butterflies in the stomach, making love aches.
Feeling the tingling wings so much, goosebumps
from each touch.
The sunflowers in the veld, the shimmering water
by the lake witnesses the purest love.
Heavenly violins and trumpets play, angels singing
love songs, beholding the purest love.
Lovebirds by the lake, your love is so true.
Pure like a refined diamond.

Great job
Thanks
I like the use of internal rhyme within each couplet - it really reflects how love is a mutual notion. When the rhyme ceases, it reminds one that love is not perfect, and there is a sense of nervousness, but love will win whatever happens.
Hi true love does win. Thanks for comment.
