A Lover's Journey

As I journeyed to an uncharted realm
wearily standing at the helm
Visions surreal danced across my consciousness
giving birth to the present emptiness
One so ingrained with the hues of longing
from past love's cruel wronging

Striking me suddenly as if from nowhere
came the ethereal scent of her hair
Oh like silk, shimmering and radiantly shining
to run my fingers through I was pining
No angel's could compare to the heavenly texture
to believe it so was mere conjecture

But this beauty of which I now dreamed
was further from which it seemed
And here upon tumultuous ocean expanses
stealing from my memory tender glances
Praying that upon some distant shore find
the perfect flower that occupies my mind
