Love's Spirit Sings (Biographical)

Love's Spirit Sings (Biographical)

I pushed new love away those days,
just hoping my love’s taciturn
kept me alert to flirt my way,
so, I’d ripen for love’s return.

But adolescence was my guide
which flaunted with love’s beguile,
but when love’s heart pushed me aside,
this act of love had cramped my style.

Then more alluring love became,
with beauty well beyond compare,
I hid my heart by throwing blame,Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β
for love, next time, I’d be aware.

I welcome love and all its quirks,
saluting love and all, it brings.
I’m not concerned on how love works,
for love’s spirit inside us sings.
