Poem -
Lying alone with secrets
Every cloud has a silver lining
every tribute; a golden explorer-
wind whips as beauty sleepsā¦
and I dance- a lone silhouette.
radios surround- blaring false escapadesā¦.
as the blue light concedes to the shove of Icarus-
field mice rattle the dry corn husks they call homeā¦
while I sip my crushed grapesā¦.day dreaming at night
beauty awakens-
ā¦andĀ enters through the doorway as if itās a portal into my existence.
all ills begin to self medicate and pacify the pangs of pain
dangling paper clips form silent wind chimesā¦
eyes closing now-Ā
comfort and serenity engulf my heavy heartā¦
the air- as sweet as it is thick.Ā
