Poem -

mAD gardens + NICOTINE

I sat with him
In a haze
Of mad gardens
Prescription
Pad
Pardons

MarvellIng
His talent
To converse
With
His
Moon

Whilst
Smoking
His fingers
To nicotine stumps
Jiggling his feet
To
His
Own
Unique tune

And I'd reach out
To
Capture
His laugh
Ìn my hands
Because

Even then
Something
Made me
Understand

That gardens
Can't thrive
In
Moon hazy
Sad
Lands
And laughter
Can never
Be tamed
On
Command
