Magic Orb

Magic Orb

Floating
orb,
magic
orb,
floating
in
nothingness.
Inanimate
dead rock,
floating
In the
void.
Forever
floating
In the
cold.
Magic rock.
Squeezing.
Squeezing
from within.
Squeezing,
oozing,
bubbling.
Bubbling up.
Oozing up
from below.
Delivering.
Squeezing
animate
from the
inanimate.
Delivering the
magic.
Delivering
the miracle.
Magic rock,
miracle orb
floating
in the
cold.
Covered
in the
miracle.
Covered in
life.

Hi John...I love how you always bring us the miracles and mysteries of life to think about.  I used to see these mysterious orbs for about a week in 2011 out in the woods behind my house....and they seemed to have a conscious purpose...for they bobbed up and down, changed direction and then zipped off....I never could figure out what they were...but they mesmerized me and made me believe there are things we cannot understand in this world.  I enjoyed your magic orb portrayal.  Great work. .xo ;)

Hi Cherie,

Thank you for reading.
“there are things we cannot understand in this world.” So true. I’d say we don’t understand most things about creation.
I have a Beta fish named Sammy and I watch him swim around in his little bowl, his universe. All he knows is what’s in his bowl. No clue he has about the realities outside his bowl. He knows not about my kitchen he knows not about what’s across the street or about what’s going on in China. I could go on.  I see humanity the same way. Granted we have a larger bowl to move around in but compared to greater creation it’s
minuscule closer in size to Sammys bowl than to infinity. We delude ourselves believing in our place in it all.

How have I missed so much John...adore this because it embodies all I feel about the world, space etc...overwhelmed by its 'everything' and terrified at the 'nothingness'. Reading your comments to Cherie,  I  have to agree, I see our place in the universe in exactly the same way, we ponder in a like minded way, my friend.Iv a verse about a spider saying exactly the same as your thoughts about your goldfish!! Iv not put it on Cosmo yet...pinned 💕

Hi MP,

Thank you for reading.
Agreed, the truth of things is way beyond our pay grade to
understand. But it does give us much to write about.😁
