Magnetism

Magnetism

We are but magnets to the fridge of societal injustice,

bound by nostalgia and disappointments, put on as easily as we are replaced,

Not a wink or a nod or a smile or frown can turn our magnets back around,

we are bound by truth and held by lies.no one can tear us from our roots,

they can only rip us from the ground in which we settle.

We are the magnets, the fridge, and the bond between,

We are the universe,

We are always seen by nothing but ourselves,

never-the-less we hate and we love,

always in opposition of who we think we are not,

were always who we want to be but never who we are,

that’s why we cling to the fridge, too afraid to let go,

too afraid to know..
