~ MAGNIFICENT JOY ~
Onward oh beast of joy's opposition
Thou cans't not stay above
Such outwardly magnificent joy
In that early morning peach grove
As sunlight begs to differ...
I pray on things unbeknownst
To the dew of morning's glitter
Whether the sun shall drench the face
With a magnificent joy
While perpetuating a smile
Upon the scintillating sheen
Of the soul's shine...
Where early morning faeries dance
Familiar ballets to stringed quartets
Creating happiness of the heart
So softly with those
Tip-toeing upon petals
That glimmer
Within that magnificent joy...
A kindly magnificence
That tickles the luminous fibers
Of singular butterflies
Which come to briefly alight
And spread the sacred pollen
Of oh so magnificent joy...
Onward oh beast of joy's opposition
There is no joust for you here
When the solitary poet
Can strike you down
With phrase after phrase
And verse after verse
Of magnificent joy...
So,
Surrender old friend
For the smile of the gods
Has again alighted
Upon your face
And filled your soul
With that blessed,
And oh so,
Magnificent Joy...
