~ MAGNIFICENT JOY ~
Onward oh beast of joy's opposition
Thou cans't not stay above
Such outwardly magnificent joy
In that early morning peach grove
As sunlight begs to differ...
I pray on things unbeknownst
To the dew of morning's glitter
Whether the sun shall lift our faces
With a magnificent joy
While perpetuating a smile
Upon the scintillating glow
Of the soul's shine...
Where early morning faeries dance
Familiar ballets with stringed quartets
Creating happiness of the heart
Ever so softly, with those
Tip-toeing upon petals
That glimmer
Within that magnificent joy...
A kindly magnificence
That tickles the luminous fibers
Emanating
From a singular butterfly
Which comes to briefly alight
And spread a sacred pollen
Of oh so magnificent joy....
Onward, oh beast of joy's opposition
There is no joust for you here
When the solitary poet
Can strike you down
With phrase after phrase
And page after page
Of magnificent joy...
So,
Surrender old friend
For the smile of the gods
Has again alighted
Upon your face
And filled your soul
With that blessed,
And oh so,
Magnificent joy...

Tony this is such an exquisite read my dear poetic friend
I enjoyed the GALLANT start to this well woven poem. That first line reads like a knight on horseback, riding in on the cusp of the morning sun, to tell joys opponent to back down. For joy shall prevail to lift the hearts of all who stand in its rays

With a magnificent joy
While perpetuating a smile
Upon the scintillating glow
Of the soul's shine...”
Such stunning words for the reader to relish. Might Joy radiate down on all of us, lifting the dreariest of souls, so they might find some momentary relief.
This entire piece reads like a valiant jousting. I loved the swashbuckling sensation throughout this read. You repeat the word Joy which personifies the emotion and brings a sense of empowerment to the piece. The poet being the knight who fights for the honour of Joy. You my dear poet shine in this write. Sheer brilliance my friend
