Magnolias

Magnolias

Magnolias

In the seasons

a few arias of nature grip me

Mostly in the springtime.

I catch Spring fever.

The Magnolias

come into full bloom

Saucer sized flowers

cascade from the trees.

A litany of pink petals.

The shout in brash language

Look at me,

see how pretty I am.

I am more alive than anything.

They know me how I crave

their heady fragrance

and blousy beauty.

For I feel as beautiful

as they are.

As alive and fresh spirited.

Just for a week

In April.
