Poem -

Magpies in sight

Good luck or our plight?

Magpies in sight

One for sorrow,
Only non permanent or when it's borrowed,
2 for joy,
The shiny box of a squeaky new toy,
Three for a girl,
I'll keep a blonde snip of a new furling curl,
4 for a boy,
I will take him sailing out to sea, ahoy!
5 for silver,
That love might deliver,
6 for gold,
All old beliefs have now just been sold,
7 for a secret never to be told,
One that we will keep, forever, until we are old.
