Make It Ok

Just do what's right

i am not saying you cannot mother

but can you provide parenting

not on your life

alone gunna be inadequate

it takes a village to raise a child

each soul is whole when it is celebrated

rejoiced over for all that it is

a product of x and x and x and y

and that is why I dare say

when you demonise that other half

you make your child cry

you sow seeds of self hate

for that part you have rejected that cannot be ejected

it is as if maleness was a disease

you forget yourself

for you too are half sperm

as shocking as that may be to you

so deal with it and embrace the left side of your face

cause your denial makes for sick

and you are starving our kids of love

whenever you withhold that validation that they crave

to hear that every part of them

...

every single part of them

...

is more than ok

Yes indeed. It breaks my heart. It may be an inconvenient taboo topic but our broken youth are real people and from them will emerge the leaders of tomorrow and sooner or later their voice gunna be heard.
