Man and the canyon

This mind cannot absorb 
All the great valleys and the ridges 
That speak out in their red canyon colours
Who are you?

For here I am on the mountain
Screaming out into the emptiness 
Here I am, 
Man

This mind cannot absorb
The immensity of the planets
That have frozen all our fears
Bringing forth all the jumbled years

Tsunami, disaster
Disaster has struck the human race
The sea is swallowing up
The cup has filled and emptied 

Thou shalt not kill
Yet the universe spills blood almost every moment 
As the screams empty into the canyon 
The canyon empties into the screams 

And here I am....
