Such terror and destruction it can bring

Face masks in China are now a common sight
It was here where the virus first took flight
It needs to be stopped and very quickly 
People are getting ill and feeling sickly 

It's a scary thought people should die this way
Two hundred and forty two deaths reported yesterday 
2020 is not starting off the best I have to say
Hoping soon for blue skies and no longer grey
