A Man’s Carvings

~~Many drawings and carvings are found in the Millers’ house,
Carvings of tables,
And drawings of stables,
And a drawing of a young girl in a blue blouse.

You never know what artistic things you will find,
Maybe a drawing of a girl with firefly eyes,
Or a drawing of a spy!
But in time you will find these carvings have more meaning because the artist is no longer alive.

The carvings are from a man who was once here,
That was loved and cherished,
But sadly he perished,
As he lived in his lovely home by the deer.

His wonderful carvings are still in the Millers’ house,
But as he got sick and buzzed like a bee and when death was near
He left here.

(In honor of my Paw Paw)
