The Mantra

The Mantra

By Margaret Bell

Its music to his ears

The sacred mantra called prayer.

Born out of necessity,

On the wings of sincerity,

Approaching him with care.

He who answers all our needs

Ignoring the wants of a greedy child,

Answers a waiting heart.

If we only do our part,

With a will that’s meek and mild.

Approaching him who made us

Humble, seeking, willing to accept,

His reply, all knowing,

Pleased we are growing,

In faith toward Him, The Great Adept.
