the mask

the mask

I have on a mask
It is my outside face.
The one with a perma smile.
But under the mask
There is another face
That no one is allowed to see.
It does not smile very much
The eyes look dark and sad
It is not as certain as the mask
And tears often fall from its eyes
In truth
It looks a lot like me.
