MASTERPIECE

MASTERPIECE

Paint on paper I had done for three long years
To create a masterpiece requires a lot of anguish and tears
The colours have to be right and just so
The subject matter should have no flaws I'm sure you know

I had to compete with my friends Van Gogh and Monet
Painting this masterpiece day after day
The final stroke on the paper has now been done
A dash of yellow to show the setting of the sun

In years to come my masterpiece will hang in a gallery
People from all over the world will come and see
When you see it hanging there in its frame
I will admire my work and think of calling it a name
