Poem -

Maybe

Maybe we will see each other again,
 with open arms, my pulse
 pounding like a tender spring,
 insects and new trees
 capitulating for love.
death would not exist in ITS unclear form
 your hand, belly and nose
 will brand my impatience
like an old dog forever dog.

We will measure the distance between us
 like Antigone
measured the distance between the scaffold and
 her ancient heart.

You were irremediably hurt but no wound
survived, not even your dislocated shoulder,
 bruised belly populated
 by black moths.

Your chest is like a sail unfurled
your hands, nonchalant, low so much time to lift
the sun, when I take you in my arms
no pain will separate us, no shame, or
 legend.

pouncing like a lioness, bear, two years child
 you'll erase us both.
