Mean Nightmare

Ominous brewing storm clouds sum up how I feel.

Many tears must be shed to make this sorrow real !

Why, at this particular time, does fate intervene ?

The savage cruelty of it makes me want to scream.

Plans were finally there to bring everything sought.

Then despicable tragedy occurs leaving me fraught.

Death can come wherever and whenever it chooses,

But right now, it defies known belief and confuses !

I'll cry in the dark, thinking what might have been,

Broken by a hideous nightmare torturous and mean !
