Poem -

MeLTed tO AiR...

I had gone, none too far
to stock up on tomorrows
but found only dust
and stale yesterdays left

I spied

god at the counter
his basket was full
I asked him to share
but he looked at meΒ

deaf

and so what would we do
with not one left to wear
this last one from today
now near gone and threadbare

I spiedΒ

god at the counter
his basket was full
I asked him to share but
he melted to air

and

I knew then we'd freeze
from the cold and despair
no tomorrows for us boy
not a one left to wear
